Indie-Clips at the London Film & TV Job Fair ✨

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of representing Indie-Clips, our non-profit dedicated to distributing and promoting short films from independent filmmakers, at the London Film & TV Job Fair.

Why We Were There

Indie-Clips was created out of love for projects made on low budgets, with small but passionate crews, and the fair was the perfect place to connect with like-minded creators. I had the chance to meet so many inspiring people—screenwriters, actors, editors, directors—each with their own unique projects and backgrounds. These conversations reminded me just how vibrant and creative the independent film community truly is.

About CineCircle & The Job Fair

A special thanks goes to CineCircle, the organiser of the London Film & TV Job Fair. This event is an absolute gem for anyone in the industry—it brings together over a thousand attendees and dozens of exhibitors, from production companies and casting agencies to crew recruiters and festival organisers. The fair also includes a fantastic programme of talks, panel discussions, and one-on-one sessions, covering everything from breaking into the industry to building sustainable careers.

For anyone thinking of attending in the future, our advice is: plan ahead—research the exhibitors, bring copies of your CV, and attend the panels most relevant to your career goals. Don’t forget to network with fellow filmmakers too—the fair is as much about peer-to-peer connections as it is about meeting companies.

Our Mission

At Indie-Clips, our mission is simple: to give independent short films a home and an audience. We’re always looking to connect with filmmakers who are seeking a platform to share their work, and the fair gave us the chance to meet some of you in person.

If you’d like to share your short film with us, please reach out at contactindieclips@gmail.com. You can also follow our journey and connect with us on:

3 Key Tips for Filmmakers in Need of Distribution

  1. Know your audience
Identify the genre of your short film and think about who it is made for. The clearer you are about your audience, the easier it will be to reach them.

  2. Have a distribution strategy
Decide whether you want to start with a private screening, submit to festivals, or share your film on streaming platforms like Indie-Clips’ website. A plan will help you stay focused and maximise your film’s impact.

  3. Treat your short film like a business
Think about the “life” of your film—what keywords describe it, who it will attract, how long it will be available, and how long you want its distribution to last. A structured approach can make all the difference.

Let’s Connect ?

I left the fair feeling inspired, and more committed than ever to supporting independent voices in film. If you have a project you’d like to share—or simply want to chat about short films, filmmaking, and distribution—I’d love to hear from you.

?  Reach me directly at contactindieclips@gmail.com. I’m always up for a conversation, and I’m always on the lookout for new short films to add (for free!) to our platform.
