Indie-Clips Original Interview

Kris Williams 'Little'

In this interview, we sit and have a chat with independent filmmaker and music composer Kris Williams on the making of his short film 'Little'.

'Little' explores the complex mind and relationships of a young woman who is part of a community of people who find themselves role-playing children. Kris learned the existence of the 'Little' Community and, after thorough research, decided that this was a topic he wished to explore not only through music, but mainly through film.

With the support of a talented Director of Photography, a devoted cast and his sister, Kris shot the short film in 2 and a half days with the budget he had in hand. Even though the tight circumstances, Kris had big ideas: one of them being to shoot using anamorphic lenses - and the support of his team played a key role in making his wishes come true.

When asked to share his main tips to other independent filmmakers who wish to shoot their short, Kris reminds the importance of reaching out to other amateurs and professionals of the field, but also shares that "everything is doable if you just break it down into very small steps"
