Artists must be based in one of the eligible countries: Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain or the United Kingdom. They must also have been born in 2005 or earlier, hold a personal bank account with an IBAN in one of these countries, and have a website or public social media profile presenting their work.

What should applicants focus on?

A strong application should go beyond simply presenting an artistic CV. Applicants are asked to explain how receiving the €10,000 would contribute to their development and how the grant could help them overcome economic, social, cultural, physical or health-related barriers affecting their career.

Applications for the 2026 Artist Grant opened on 1 September 2026 and close on 1 October 2026 at 11:00 CET. Applications will be reviewed during October, with the final selection taking place in November. The selected artists are expected to be announced and receive their first monthly payment in January 2027.
